About Primavera

Primavera – a place for good change in the centre of Kraków

The Primavera corridor with the consulting-room door open

Sometimes the first step is the hardest.

The decision to start therapy often takes a long time to ripen. Perhaps you are wondering whether you will find the right person, whether anyone will understand you and whether therapy can really help. These are natural questions — you can bring them to your first session.

At Primavera we have been helping people through crises, difficult emotions and problems in relationships for over 20 years. We believe that good therapy starts with a relationship built on trust, attention and a sense of safety. We will help you find a specialist who suits your needs.

You do not have to cope on your own. Your change can start here.

Step by step

What the first session looks like

  1. Get in touch

Call, write or pick a date in the online calendar. If you do not know who to book with, we will help you choose a specialist.

  2. First session

Fifty minutes of talking about what brings you here. You do not have to prepare anything or be able to name what you are going through.

  3. A shared plan

Together with your therapist you decide whether and how you want to work: individually, as a couple or in a group, at the practice or online.

  4. Regular sessions

Usually once a week, at a fixed time. You can always talk to your therapist about the pace, the goals and the end of therapy.

What sets us apart

Why Primavera

Six things that make a difference when you choose where to start therapy.

  1. Over 20 years of experience

For more than twenty years we have accompanied people through difficult moments in life.

  2. A team of specialists

Psychotherapists, psychologists and a psychiatrist. Each person's profile shows their education and qualifications.

  3. Supervision and development

We work under regular supervision and keep training — that is what good psychotherapeutic practice looks like.

  4. Confidentiality

What you say in the consulting room stays between you and your therapist. We are bound by professional secrecy and a code of ethics.

  5. Working with a psychiatrist

When a medical consultation or medication is needed, you can arrange it here.

  6. At the practice and online

Sessions at our rooms on ul. Szlak, close to the centre of Kraków, or online from wherever you are.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find an answer? Call us — we are happy to talk.

Do I need a referral?

No. Primavera is a private centre — you only need to call or pick a date in the online calendar. You do not need a diagnosis either.

How much does a session cost?

An individual psychotherapy session costs from 200 PLN for 50 minutes, a psychological consultation from 220 PLN, couples therapy from 300 PLN. All prices are in the price list.

How do I choose a therapist?

On the Therapists page each person describes what people most often come to them with and how they work. If it is hard to choose, call us — we will help you find a specialist.

What is the difference between a psychologist, a psychotherapist and a psychiatrist?

A psychologist has a degree in psychology and can provide consultations. A psychotherapist has completed several years of training in psychotherapy and conducts regular therapy. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor — they make a medical diagnosis and can prescribe medication. All three work at Primavera.

Can we meet online?

Yes. An online session looks like a meeting at the practice, only over a video call. More on the Online psychotherapy page.

Will what I say stay between us?

Yes. Therapists are bound by professional secrecy. The exceptions are few and defined by law — for example a direct threat to life. You can ask about them at your first session.
