Individual psychotherapy in English in Kraków

Individual psychotherapy in English means the same one-to-one sessions as in Polish — conducted entirely in English. For people who live in Kraków but do not speak Polish every day, and for anyone who finds it easier to talk about themselves in English.

We meet at our practice at ul. Szlak 77 or online — including when you live in another city or country.

When it helps

What you can come with

  • anxiety, tension, low mood
  • chronic stress, overwork, burnout
  • living abroad — loneliness, homesickness, difficulty settling in
  • a crisis, a loss, a break-up, an important decision
  • difficulties in relationships — with a partner, in the family, at work
  • low self-esteem, difficulty accepting yourself
  • experiences from your family home
  • the wish to understand yourself and your patterns better
Step by step

What it looks like

The first session. We start with a consultation in English — you tell us what brings you here and the therapist asks about what matters. You do not need to prepare anything or be able to name the problem.

Just for you. One-to-one sessions — time in which you can calmly look at what is hard and change something step by step. For couples we offer separate couples therapy in English.

How often. A session lasts 50 minutes and usually takes place once a week, at a fixed time. You decide the length of therapy together and can change it.

At the practice or online. Sessions take place at our practice at ul. Szlak 77, a few minutes from Kraków Main Station, or over a video call.

FAQ

Individual psychotherapy in English — frequently asked questions

Can’t find an answer? Call us — we are happy to talk.

Is the whole therapy in English?

Yes — the conversation, the arrangements and contact between sessions are in English. If you are bilingual and at some point something is easier to say in Polish, you can.

Do I need to speak English fluently?

No. It is enough that you can talk comfortably about everyday matters and about what you are going through. The therapist adapts the pace and language to you.

How long does therapy take?

It depends on what you come with. Short-term therapy usually takes a few months, long-term therapy a year or more. You agree the goal and the length of the work with the therapist at the start and along the way.

How much does a session cost?

Current prices are in the price list. You can also ask by phone: 662 888 417.

Can I book online from another city or country?

Yes. You need a quiet place where nobody can hear you and a stable internet connection. More about online psychotherapy.

How do I book?

Through the online calendar, by phone or by e-mail — see the contact page.

Therapy in the language you think in

Language matters. When you talk about feelings, memories and relationships, you want to use words that are yours — not translate yourself on the fly. That is why therapy in English is not a "substitute version": it is full psychotherapy, only in the language that is natural for you.

We work the same way as in Polish: on the basis of a safe, confidential relationship, without judgement and without quick-fix advice. We adapt the way we work to what you come with — more on the page about individual psychotherapy.

Who it is for

Most often we see people who have come to Kraków for work or study, and Poles returning after years abroad who find it easier to talk about themselves in English. If you are not sure whether this is the right form for you, call us: 662 888 417.
