A sexological consultation for couples is a joint meeting with a psychologist and sexologist. You come together to talk about what is happening between you in the sphere of closeness and sex — often for the first time in the presence of a third person who does not judge and does not take sides.
You do not have to have “a problem”. It is enough that you want things to be better between you.

What it looks like
The first meeting. You come together. Each of you has space to say how you see the situation and what you would like. The specialist asks, listens and helps you hear each other. The meeting lasts 50 minutes.
How many meetings. Sometimes one or a few meetings are enough to name the difficulty and leave with concrete suggestions. If the topic needs longer work, you agree a further plan together — more consultations or couples therapy.
Impartiality. The specialist does not look for someone to blame and does not decide who is right. She makes sure each of you feels safe and is heard.
What comes next. At the end you get a suggestion: further consultations, couples therapy, individual meetings for one of you, or a medical consultation if the difficulty may have a medical cause.

How is this different from couples therapy?
The consultation focuses on intimacy and closeness — usually a few meetings. Couples therapy is longer, regular work on the whole relationship. One may lead to the other.
Do we both have to come?
For a couples consultation — yes, it is a meeting for two. If your partner is not ready, you can start with an individual consultation.
How much does a couples consultation cost?
From 320 PLN for 50 minutes. All prices are in the price list.
Can the consultation take place online?
Yes. We meet at our practice at Szlak 77 in Kraków or online, by video — it matters that you are both in a quiet, private place at the time.
Will we have to talk about the details of our intimate life?
You say as much as you are ready to. The specialist asks with respect and does not push — the pace is yours.
Why have a couples consultation
Sex in a relationship is often met with silence — out of shame, fear of hurting the other person, or the belief that “it will sort itself out”. Meanwhile what is left unsaid grows: distance, resentment, avoiding closeness. The consultation gives you a safe place to finally name it — in the presence of someone who knows such conversations and how to lead them.
The specialist has psychological and sexological training. She helps you understand what lies behind the difficulty — differences in needs, tiredness, tension in the relationship, past experiences — and what you can do about it. Sometimes reliable knowledge and a few concrete agreements are enough; sometimes longer work is needed.
